Natural Chest Acne Remedies

Chest Acne is a condition that plagues many acne sufferers and is not an easy condition to cure. In fact, it is more difficult to eradicate chest acne than many other types of acne. Roughly 54% of woman and 40% of men are affected by this severe form of acne which can take the form of pimples, blackheads, pustules or cysts on the chest area. The good news is that although it is a difficult skin condition to treat, natural acne remedies offer a very real possibility of a cure if the sufferer chooses the right course of action.
If the oil producing glands on the pectoral skin secrete too much oil then the pores of the exoderm can end up being clogged with dead skin cells and oil which in combination provide an extremely fertile breeding ground for acne causing bacteria. Hormones too can become unbalanced, there are too many possible causes to list here, and this is a possible contributary factor to a chest acne condition. Natural acne remedies are probably not the best treatment for a horminal imbalance, something best left to your doctor, but they may be very effective in alleviating symptoms of excess sebum production.
One natural acne remedies means of alleviating chest acne symptoms is to minimise the use of deodorants, body lotions and powders on the affected area. In warm weather we tend to sweat more and this combined with man made toiletries can very easily exacerbate an acne infection, easily leading to rampant chest acne. Us e “fragrance free” or “sensitive skin” washing powders and fabric softeners. Shower twice a day and directly after exercise, maintain a good hygiene regime and you should see a steady improvement in the condition.
Natural acne remedies include wearing loose fitting natural fabrics such as cotton which are breathable and will keep the skin more comfortable than synthetic fabrics, which will in essence “suffocate” the skin. Man made materials, especially if tight fitting, can easily irritate the skin and an irritated skin in conjunction with a chest acne condition is not a great recipe for clear skin success. Apply a mud of charcoal mask to the affected area every 3 or 4 days, this will help to unblock clogged pores and free the from skin dead skin cells, thus eliminating a potential acne bacteria breeding ground.
Natural acne remedies takes the standpoint that prevention is always better than cure. Use a few simple rules where your chest acne condition is concerned, take a pragmatic approach to your personal hygiene and you will reap the benefits that come with a chest permanently free of acne.

Applying Witch Hazel for an Acne Treatment

If there is one shrub that is well-known for its anti-acne effect, then that would have to be witch hazel. As A Matter Of Fact, the benefits of witch hazel for acne are many. That is because this plant contains tannin acid, which is the primary substance in witch hazel that makes it effective against combating acne and some skin conditions. The extracted form of witch hazel acts as a good topical remedy for acne and acne marks.
Witch hazel comprises antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it one of the most efficient cystic acne cures. Acne is ordinarily stimulated by bacterias, and using a witch hazel astringent can help fight the bacteria that cause acne, and in turn help forbid the development of more acne. Moreover, it can also reduce the swelling and inflammation related with cystic acne and pimples.
As previously stated, witch hazel contains tannin, and this substance is known to be a powerful antioxidant. It can cleanse the skin without the common irritation that is related with other chemical-based astringents. Witch hazel is mild in the skin, so you can have minimal to no fallouts at all. It really has a numbing result when applied to the skin, therefore avoiding discomfort. Also, witch hazel astringent is compatible with the skin’s pH, thus making it less potential to develop soreness when applied to the skin.
Because of witch hazel’s anti-inflammatory properties, the witch hazel acne remedy can also stiffen pores and prevent swollen veins. Apart from tannin, witch hazel as well comprises procyanadins, resins, and flavonoids, which further increase witch hazel’s anti-inflammatory properties.
Witch hazel can be applied directly to the skin. Just like how you use an ordinary astringent, you also should apply it to the part involved twice a day, in the morning and at nighttime before slumbering. Bear in mind not to put on to your skin more than 3 times per day since it can dry your skin. You can also apply witch hazel as a face mask.

Common Acne Treatments – The Effective and the Bad

If you are having troubles with acne, you might have already tested much of different interventions in your quest toward reaching a more flawless skin. With all the acne treatments available in the grocery store these days, it is pretty tough to sort the ones that really work from the ones that’s all ballyhoo but don’t work at all. However, there are essentially 2 types of acne treatments that you can run into: chemical treatments and natural acne cures.
Benzoyl peroxide outstands the list of chemical therapeutics applied to treat acne. If you have visited a dermatologist before and inquired about how to get free of acne overnight, you might have been prescribed with benzoyl peroxide. Although this may have worked out for some, it also has some side effects such as dry skin. There are also people whose acne never got better with benzoyl peroxide.
Another common chemical acne treatment found in the grocery store is Accutane. This is being marketed as the answer to serious acne problems. Yet, just like benzoyl peroxide, it tends to make the skin look dry. Although it also works for some, finishing the treatment will just make your acne come back and even aggravate. So if you begin on any chemical acne treatments, you have to apply it for life if you wish to preserve your clean skin.
If you want an acne treatment that does not have any hurtful or ugly fallouts, then you should spend on natural remedies for pimples. Unlike chemical remedies, home remedies for pimples do not exsiccate the skin. Instead, they heighten the skin’s natural shine and radiance. Instances of ordinary natural acne treatments include tea tree oil, which is told to be as efficient as benzoyl peroxide, but it does not make the skin to dry.
Another ordinary treatment is witch hazel, which has been used as a natural acne treatment throughout the years, even during the pre-modern times. The benefits of witch hazel for acne are innumerable, so you have to check out this natural cure and treatment for acne.

What Causes Adult Acne?
March 15, 2012 by William Hammons

Regardless of age, acne is a condition of the sebaceous glands. These glands are attached to hair follicles and produce an oily substance called sebum. An acne lesion forms when a hair follicle becomes plugged with sebum and dead cells. The pathogenic (disease-causing) events in the sebaceous glands are believed to be due in large degree to changes in levels of androgenic (male) hormones in the body-a circumstance usually associated with the growth and development that occurs between the ages of 12 and 21. Therefore, it is important to look for an underlying cause of acne that happens occurs for the first time in adulthood.
Acne that appears after 25 to 30 years of age occurs for one of these reasons:
1. Recurrence of acne that cleared up after adolescence
2. Flare-up of acne after a period of relative quiet-for example, during pregnancy
3. Occurs for the first time in a person who had never previously had acne.
Acne that appears for the first time in adulthood should be examined by a dermatologist who can investigate the underlying cause. Some reasons for adult acne are:
* Medication. Some medications that can induce acne include anabolic steroids (sometimes used illegally by athletes to “bulk up”), some anti-epileptic medications, the anti-tuberculosis drugs isoniazid and rifampin, lithium and iodine-containing medications.
* Chronic physical pressure on the skin. Chafing from the straps of a backpack or tucking a violin between the jaw and chin can cause chronic physical pressure on the skin and may induce a condition known as acne mechanica.
* Chlorinated industrial chemicals. These may induce the occupational skin disorder known as chloracne.
* Metabolic conditions. Changes in the hormonal balance, such as those brought about by pregnancy, menstruation or hormonal abnormalities can induce acne.
It is also important to know that some lesions that appear to be acne are not acne at all. One skin condition that resembles acne is folliculitis, which occurs when the hair follicles become infected and inflamed. Folliculitis requires different treatment than acne.
Acne that occurs in adulthood may be difficult to treat if there are multiple recurrences. Some patients with severe recurrent acne have undergone repeated courses of treatment with the potent systemic drug isotretinoin.
Since adult acne may be difficult to treat, acne that appears for the first time in adulthood should be examined and treated by a dermatologist.

Skin Care Products To Clear up Acne

There are many acne products available to treat acne today but many of them are not that effective and can actually cause more problems in your skin than using nothing. In this article you will learn which ingredients and products I recommend you stay away from simply because I have either used them before and not seen results or they contain ingredients that can cause cosmetic acne and more breakouts on the skin. In some cases some products have done both for me! not worked and cause more problems. This should save you some time in finding the best acne product for you.
First things first, one ingredient that is in many acne treatment products that I recommend you steer clear of is benzoyl peroxide. Popular products such as proactiv contain this but it didn’t work for me, it only dried out my skin and made it red and flaky. Many other people have gotten the same results and problems with proactiv when they tried it as well. For this reason I recommend you stay away from proactiv or any other benzoyl peroxide based acne treatment. Benzoyl peroxide is not natural and just bombards your skin, it’s way too harsh and causes more problems both now and in the long run. I recommend all natural healing based products that support your skin and help it become healthy again.
The next ingredients I want to talk about you may have heard of before but most likely not. They are in many acne products and skin care products but this doesn’t mean that they are effective. I recommend staying away from products containing sodium lauryl sulfate, parabens and propylene glycol. These three are three of the main ingredients in acne products that cause problems and will cause your skin to break out even more. There are several videos on the acne erasing secrets youtube channel explaining why I recommend that you stay away from these and how they actually cause more acne and do not help at all.
There are many products to stay away from, in fact most of them don’t work and cause more problems. With that being said there are good natural skin care products out there that do help clear up your acne and help you get clear skin again. I recommend products that contain 100% natural ingredients which support the health and clarity of your skin. Natural skin care products rebuild your skin and help heal it as opposed to attacking it to get rid of the acne. It’s a different approach but it works better. Natural products heal the skin and support it’s health so that the new skin cells are healthy and clear instead of bombarding the acne and causing more reactions, breakouts, red, dry and flaky skin which is what happens in most cases.

Great Foods to Prevent Acne
March 13, 2012 by Jone Pignatello
Acne can be treated and forestalled with the right sort of diet. If more people with acne started consuming healthy diets, there would be a severe drop in the number of synthetic drug prescriptions and OTC medications and remedies that folk would need in order to deal with acne.
There are some individuals that for some unknown reason reason would also still need at least some prescription answer of some sort to cure acne. These people may have unacceptably greasy skin or they may be highly strung individuals. Nonetheless it is a known circumstance that diet can go an exceedingly long way toward diminishing acne, and in the majority of people it can basically cure it.
Hence without further ado, let's take a look at what you should eat to forestall or deal with acne.
Fish. Fish is generally healthy food and a great source of protein. The healthier your body, the more healthy your skin and nerve system will be, and this in turn will reduce your chances of getting acne.
It is recommended that people eat fish at least twice per week anyhow. But the typical person today doesn't do that, and if they do they have a tendency to eat fried fish.
The best fish to eat for acne control are cod, tuna, mackerel, and salmon. You should purchase these labeled “wild-caught” if at all practicable. Canned fish is fine. What’s important is to not overcook the fish.
Tuna, mackerel, or salmon salad made of canned fish is fine to eat. If you cook the fish, bake it, grill it, or pan-sear it on moderate heat.
Turnip greens, broccoli, and spinach. These are sensible food that are full of vitamin E. Vitamin E is the “vitamin of youth”. The more your skin, the better the chances of staving off acne.
Teens naturally have extremely fresh skin, but they also have raging hormones that easily trigger acne. Additionally, they do not are healthy eaters. Note: broccoli can be made more delicious by steaming it and pouring liquified cheese over it.
Honeydew melon and cantaloupe. These closely related fruits are high in vitamin A, which is wonderful for your nerve system.
Mango. This tasty fruit is high in both vitamins An and E. It compliments a lot of dishes, too, for example mango chicken.
Oatmeal pancakes. Oatmeal comes stocked with zinc, selenium, and vitamins An and E. Oatmeal pancakes make for a delicious and satisfying breakfast, or movie-time food.
The thing to be wary of is how you sweeten them. Use maple syrup, some all-natural fruit-derived syrup (like apple syrup), or corn syrup. Avoid artificial syrups that are “sugar free” or which contain high fructose corn syrup (not at all the same thing as plan corn syrup). Furthermore, use real butter. Marg can be extremely unhealthy.
Whole grains. Do not eat refined white flour bread or rice, and don't dare think about sweet cereal. When you eat grains, eat whole grains. (Note: whole grain means entire grain-not “whole wheat”.) Choose brown or wild rice. Whole grains help cleanse your body of toxins.
Almonds. A delicious and tasty source of zinc, vitamin E, and healthy Omega-3 fats (fish contain this in abundance as well). If you drink milk or eat cereal, try almond milk, that has nil lactic acid in it.
Make these foods abounding in your diet and watch your acne fade.

Tips To Prevent Adult Acne

A very common question to consider is whether or not it is possible to prevent adult acne. A lot of people have suffered from this disorder and they would like to tell others about how this problem can be avoided. Unfortunately, the answer to this question is more than just a simple yes or no. It is much more difficult than that, which is unfortunate. In order to help prevent adult acne, there are several measure that you can take but at the same time, there are also factors that are completely out of your control.
There are some steps you can take in order to prevent your acne from getting worse although it is not possible to completely prevent adult acne.
First, you need to make sure you are familiar with the general skin care products. If you go to your local drug store and pick up a gentle cleanser, then you will be ensuring yourself that you skin is kept clean.
When it comes to adult acne, one of the things that many people tend to forget is that heavy sweating can cause it to flare up. If you know that you are going to be sweating a lot you will want to make sure that you shower immediately after you are finished. This will help to prevent outbreaks.
Touching your face at all costs should be avoided and this is another important tip to remember. It can definitely make your adult acne worse even though it may not seem like that big of a deal. The reason is that every time you would touch your face, you are adding oil to it and also transferring bacteria to the area. If you can avoid this, you will be able to help cut back on outbreaks.
There is no cut and dry way of preventing adult acne. The best that you can do is take the necessary measures in order to prevent things from getting worse. If you do this you will notice that your acne is not flaring up as much, and that your skin is clearing up.
A travel insurance policy should be part of every trip.

Acne Skin Care Products That Work Now
March 11, 2012 by David King
There are too many choices for acne skin care products on the market. Most of them do not work and actually make your acne worse as time goes on unfortunately. Most skin care products for acne contain a lot of chemicals and are not natural at all. This means that the product you put on your skin can cause more problems over time because it is not natural and does not give your skin nutrition.
Your skin needs to be fed nutrition and ingredients that benefit it and help it become clear and most of the products don’t contain any of these things which actually help. There are only a few select companies out there which contain ingredients that actually benefit your skin and help it come clear instead of just covering up the problem. This won’t cure your acne or even begin the process of clearing it up overall.
There are psecific ingredients in products that I recommend you stay away from. The first one is propylene glycol. Propylene glycol is a petroleum by-product which is not natural at all and I do not recommend that you use any products that contain this ingredient in it. THe next ingredient that I recommend you stay away from is sodium lauryl sulfate as well. Sulfates are not natural and cause health problems in the body which won’t help your skin clear up.
The last and final ingredient that I recommend you ban from your skin care and cosmetic products is benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is a very common ingredient used in acne treatments as well as one of the biggest acne treatment products out there… proactiv. I recommend you stay away from this because not only was benzoyl peroxide linked to cancer in rats in scientific studies but most people get dried out skin as well as it turning red. This is not a natural ingredient and doesn’t benefit your skin’s healthy and clarity over time.

Hydrogen peroxide for Acne & Pimples
March 10, 2012 by David King

Acne is a tough skin condition to deal with that you need to address if you want to clear it up naturally from home. Acne is caused by toxic buildup in the body and an imbalance of hormones and bacteria in the body. Your body has bacteria and good bacteria (otherwise known as probiotics) which need to be balanced in order for your skin to be as well.
One method to clear up acne is hydrogen peroxide. I recommend using food grade hydrogen peroxide because regular hydrogen peroxide contains preservatives and is not natural. Food grade hydrogen peroxide is better because it is preservative free. I recommend that you use food grade hydrogen peroxide and dilute it with water in order to use for your skin. This way it is safer and it doesn’t burn your skin and cause problems.
Once you dilute the hydrogen peroxide you can take the hydrogen peroxide and apply it to your pimples and acne. This cleanses the pores real well and brings oxygen ot them. It also kills the bad bactria which will cause the acne and pimples to grow out of control. I recommend not doing this too often though because it is strong on the skin and you don’t want to get this liquid in your eyes because it could cause problems.
Another method to clear up your skin that I highly recommend is to eat more organic raw fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. These contain the nutriton that your skin needs to be clear and healthy. Vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants and enzymes all work to keep your skin clear and healthy. You should also be drinking 50% of your body weight in ounces of water each day in order to keep your skin clear, cleansed and hydrated.
